Avinash (Avi) Collis is an Assistant Professor in the Information, Risk and Operations Management department at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a digital fellow at the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy and the Stanford Digital Economy Lab. He holds a PhD in Management Science from MIT Sloan School of Management.
His research interests include the economics of digitization focusing on measuring the welfare gains from digital goods. His research has been published in top tier academic and practitioner journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Human Behavior, Nature Communications and the Harvard Business Review and has been covered in major media outlets and policy reports including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, the Economist and reports by the US White House, Federal Reserve, Senate and UK treasury.
Michael Connolly is Head of National Accounts Analysis and Globalisation Division at CSO Ireland. Michael is a member of the Advisory Expert Group (AEG) on National Accounts and has been closely involved in the International discussions on Globalisation for many years. He is co-chair of the ISWGNA Globalisation Task Team which is a joint National Accounts / Balance of Payments Team in the current update of the SNA and BPM.
Mark de Haan is a Senior Economist in the Real Sector Division of the Statistics Department of the IMF. His responsibilities include national accounts methodology and the development of climate change statistics. Prior to joining the Fund he served as a head of unit in the national accounts department of Statistics Netherlands. His line of expertise includes national accounting and environmental accounting. He holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of Twente.
